ME: Hey, Moon
MOON: Well, hello there, Diane!
ME: Thanks for meeting me out here on the beach.
MOON: You’re welcome. I’m here every month.
ME: Since I’m here too, I have a few questions I was hoping you could help me answer.
MOON: You do realize you’re talking to yourself?
ME:
MOON:
ME: Uh yeah sure. Right. Me talking to me. Yes of course.
MOON: I’m happy to play along. How can I help you?
ME: It’s so peaceful here. It’s so REAL. The sights, the sounds, the enthusiastic energy of people on the beach, the sea creatures, the smells of the ocean air – it’s all such a sensory delight. How am I supposed to go back to my antiseptic life, staring at 2D screens and tapping away at a keyboard as the only physical thing I touch?
MOON: It’s true. I don’t think you were designed to live this way. It works for some people. Definitely not you.
ME: What am I to do then?
MOON: Are you asking me to tell you what to do?
ME: Yes. Please tell me.
MOON: I can control the tides of the ocean – but you? Not so much. And since when did you let anyone tell you what to do?
ME:
MOON:
ME: Right. I’ve got to do it my way. I can’t work remotely anymore. And I don’t want my team 600 miles away. I need to be with real flesh and blood humans if I’m going to do any work at all in this world. No more virtual connections. I’m done. I just don’t have it in me right now.
MOON: So do it! Find the humans!
ME: YES! Let’s! Where are they?
MOON: They’re everywhere. Just look around.
ME: But how do I get them to talk to me? They’re all so BUSY.
MOON: Set the intention for connection, and the right people will show up.
ME: Really?
MOON: Yes. Really. Remember where YOU can shine your light, and you’ll attract those looking for it.
ME: Thanks, Moon. Shine on.
MOON: Ditto
